Point of Sale

Sell in person from any device — fast checkout, offline resilience, and every sale posting to the same products and books.

Point of Sale (POS) is for selling face to face — a shop counter, a market stall, a pop-up. It runs in the browser on any device, stays usable if the connection drops, and posts each sale to the same inventory and ledger the rest of Quelixa uses.

Open a session#

  1. Configure a point of sale

Under Point of Sale → Configuration, set the payment methods, receipt header and the products available at this till.

  2. Open a session

A cashier opens a session with a starting cash float. The session groups every order until it's closed.

  3. Sell

Tap products into the cart, take payment, print or email the receipt. Repeat — the interface is built for speed.

  4. Close & reconcile

At end of shift, close the session: count the cash, confirm the totals, and Quelixa posts the day's takings to the books.

Works offline

If the network drops mid-shift, POS keeps taking orders locally and syncs them the moment it reconnects. A flaky connection never stops you selling.

One catalogue, one stock, one ledger#

The product you sell at the till is the same record Sales quotes and Inventory tracks. A POS sale decrements stock and posts revenue and tax immediately — there is no separate "retail system" to reconcile at night.

| Sold at POS | Effect elsewhere | | --- | --- | | Product scanned | Stock decremented in Inventory | | Payment taken | Revenue + tax posted in Accounting | | Customer attached | History visible in CRM |
